While visiting Seoul for the first time I wanted to read something written by a Korean. This book was perfect.I had tried to learn some Korean words before my journey and was well aware of the difficulties.
I was delighted to find a book written by a woman who had worked so hard to learn English and had gone to the trouble of writing in English about her Korean life.
The author has given me, an Australian housewife, an insight into the life and views of an ordinary person with extraordinary talent and perseverance.
It was much better reading for me than a work of fiction.

Short easy to read stories about everyday lives. I especially liked the stories about her childhood in the countryside. You can feel the love she felt for her familly her life. Looking forword to her next book
Impressive book coming from a non-native speaker! The author also touches upon various political and social issues happening in Korea. Definitely worthwhile to read. Two thumbs up!
For a non native speaker, how is it possible to write so many Also, I'd like to recommend this book for learners interested in writing English. And I thank her for inspiring me to try writing something in English. This book deserves five stars for that reason.
